This is a FAMILY WEEKEND event - girls may NOT attend as a troop.

Love horses? Want to learn more about them? Then this weekend is perfect for you! During this weekend both adults and girls will learn some basics of how to care for horses and the girls will get to spend some time in the saddle! When not at the barn, explore nature, check out the lake, and relax by the campfire. At this family focused weekend, you will decide where to sleep and the traditional camp activities you will do.

Please note that all adults who wish to attend MUST be a current, registered, background checked adult through Girl Scouts. No exceptions. Males who are under 18 may attend with their immediate family, though you may need to call into the office to have Customer Care register minor males.

Housing for family events must follow GSUSA policies regarding in-cabin supervision/sleeping areas of campers. This means that for males to be in-cabin with their spouse or children, ONLY their immediate family can be in the cabin with them. Family friends, troop members, etc. cannot share cabins if men are to share sleeping space with those unrelated to them. Safety Activity Checkpoints states that male attendees cannot share sleeping quarters with those who are not legally married to them or directly related (their own children, or siblings if brothers/sisters).

Housing selection at this camp is first come, first serve at check-in. Buddy/family/troop requests will not be accepted through registration. If you have a housing request based on physical needs or proximity to certain amenities, please reach out to council via info@gswestok.org to get in touch with the Camp Director.

E-Ko-Wah provides basic camp mattresses, participants must provide their own bedding (sleeping bag, pillow, sheets, blankets). There are 10-12 beds in each cabin - participants may be sharing cabins with other adults and campers. There are between 1-4 outlets in each cabin for electricity. If you would like to have your devices charged for the weekend for photos and outside communication, we recommend bringing an external charger so you aren’t waiting on outlets to be available. Please do NOT bring extension cords.

WiFi is not available to participants at this event, and the only cell provider that is reliable (4G) at Camp E-Ko-Wah is AT&T. There are landlines located around camp should an emergency come up in which participants need to contact someone outside of camp.

The meals included for this weekend event are breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and a continental breakfast on Sunday morning. Dinner on Friday night is NOT included. Snacks will be available on Saturday.

**Info Regarding Dietary Restrictions**
If you or your camper has dietary restrictions, please note that we can only accommodate certain needs. We are able to provide vegetarian, gluten free OR nut free options. If you or your camper has a combination of these needs, or dietary needs beyond those listed, please plan on bringing some food substitutes/snacks for them. Any food that is brought as a substitute must be checked into the kitchen or left in vehicles - it cannot stay in cabins, even if it’s in coolers/air tight containers.

Check-in is on Friday, June 26th between 7-9pm at Camp E-Ko-Wah.

Participants must be checked out by Sunday, June 28th at 10am.

Campers cannot stay on camp between normal overnight camps and weekend camps - they must leave the property at the listed check out times and return at the listed check in times.
