Global Awareness Team presents Explore Switzerland

Join the Global Awareness Team as we explore Switzerland at Our Chalet for a varied program of fun outdoor activities and sightseeing, all while making new friends at the oldest WAGGGS World Centre high up in the Swiss Alps.
During this event you can:
- Cross one of Europe’s longest pedestrian suspension bridges.
- Visit a Swiss castle.
- Fly along the ziplines at the Adventure Park and challenge yourself to reach new heights on the Climbing Tower.
- Take a boat ride on a lake surrounded by mountains.
- Ride a cable car to one of the high mountain alps.
- Experience hiking in the Swiss Alps.
There will also be opportunities to learn lots about Our Chalet as well as carrying out a service project to help support the work of the oldest WAGGGS World Centre.
In the evenings, you’ll be able to participate in a varied evening program of activities to learn new skills and have fun with your new friends. Throughout the week you’ll also learn about the WAGGGS leadership mindsets and have a chance to complete a Brilliance Beads leadership bracelet and the Our Chalet Summer Challenge badge.
**Please Note: The exact date is "To Be Determined" as Our Chalet does not currently have their 2026 program guide out. The above information is based off their 2025 program guide so some items may change. Girls will also decide if they would like to visit another country or locations within Switzerland either before or after the session at Our Chalet.
Cost:
- $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot
The exact price will also be determined at a later date as the length of trip and other factors are decided. Once the price is determined, we will have a payment schedule put in place. Once the committee begins making payments for the travel arrangements, cancelling will result in a loss of those funds. Travel insurance will be available for an additional fee.
This trip is for girls ages 14 by June of 2026 with previous travel experience - girls must currently be at least age 12 register. Please review the GSUSA Travel Progression Chart to ensure your Girl Scout is ready to join us!
Chaperones will be determined by the Global Awareness Team and based off the number of girls travelling. Our Chalet has an 8:2 ratio and only those staying on property will be allowed to participate in activities. Extra registered adult members are welcome to stay in the town of Adelboden but will be on their own for all activities and meals. There will be one "free day" scheduled in the OC program where we could schedule an excursion with everyone.
We will have numerous planning meetings and other activities so everyone can get to know each other before travelling!
