Try camp for the day! This day event is for Girl Scouts (and their families) who haven’t spent a whole lot of time at E-Ko-Wah, or have never been to overnight camp before! Come see camp, meet our staff, play in some of our activity areas and join us for campfire! Camp staff will lead swimming at the pool and lake, crafts, and some basic archery and slingshots. Minors who attend will have the opportunity to be briefly ponied around by the Wranglers on one of the camp horses! Lunch and dinner are provided at this event.
Activity selection at Family Day is first come, first serve at check-in. You will be given a schedule to fill in with activities you sign up for. Some activities may fill faster than others, and once certain activities are at capacity, no one else may sign up due to ratio restrictions.
WiFi is not available to participants at Family Day, and the only cell provider that is reliable (4G) at Camp E-Ko-Wah is AT&T. There are landlines located around camp should an emergency come up in which participants need to contact someone outside of camp.
The camp Trading Post (store) will be open for a portion of the day for families to purchase some camp swag. Please note that attendees of this event will NOT get the 2020 camp shirt or the 2020 camp patch with registration. There will be 2020 camp shirts available for purchase at this event.
Lunch and dinner will be provided as part of this event. If you or your camper(s) have dietary restrictions, please note that we can only accommodate certain needs. We are able to provide vegetarian, gluten free OR nut free options. If you or your camper has a combination of these needs, or dietary needs beyond those listed, please plan on bringing some food substitutes/snacks for them. Any food that is brought as a substitute must be checked into the kitchen or left in vehicles - it should not be brought into cabins or other buildings.
