This event is structured like a Troop event, ages 5 and up only.
Adult supervision ratios MUST be provided at all times by the groups attending.
Health Forms and all health needs must be managed by the certified First Aider within the group.
Family units may attend (ages 5 & up only) - all attendees 18 years of age or older must register with GSUSA and pass a background check to be able to attend.
This event begins at 10am on Saturday, July 18th - the entrance gate will be locked until this time. Event ends around 7pm. No overnight stays, no exceptions.
Join us for a Troop-centered day of activities at Camp E-Ko-Wah! Lunch and Dinner are provided as part of the cost to attend. Groups attending must be able to break into LESS THAN 10 while maintaining GSUSA supervision ratios (max of 8 girls and 2 adults per group). Troops attending that are over 10 people will need to bring enough adults to break into smaller groups and maintain GSUSA ratios.
This day event is partially self-led. Camp E-Ko-Wah staff will be on site to provide some specialized activities (not all are guaranteed, sign-up will be available at check in) such as Archery, Sling Shots, Crafts, and Lake activities. The Troop/group attending must provide adults to meet ratio requirements at program areas. Some of these activities are restricted to certain age levels - review the latest version of Safety Activity Checkpoints for information relating to age restrictions.
There will be 6 activity blocks through the course of the day, 4 of which will be facilitated by Camp E-Ko-Wah staff. The remaining activity blocks can either be self-led at stations around camp (lawn bowling, craft, spa day, etc.), or facilitated entirely by the Troop/group (hiking, team building, etc.). Although purchasing a Camp Swag Box is not required for the event, one of the facilitated activities will be related to items in the box. For those who select to not add the camp swag box, that activity block can be an additional self-led station.
Face masks will be required to be worn when indoors. Attendees must provide their own masks. Meals will be eaten outdoors to avoid having more than 10 people indoors at a time.
This event will not run if less than 10 participants register. If this event gets cancelled, registrations may be deferred to similar events later in the summer if space permits.
