The 8 Ways to Thrive Holistic Wellness Badge Discovery Kit provides a fun and interactive way for Girl Scouts to explore wellness in all its forms—mental, physical, and nutritional. With guidance from OCU Nursing and OCU Nutrition, along with workbooks from USHINE, this kit is designed for all Girl Scouts, from Daisy to Ambassador.

Girls will dive into the 8 dimensions of wellness, engaging in activities and reflections that promote self-care, emotional resilience, mental wellness, and physical health. The activities are age-appropriate, ensuring that each girl can engage in a meaningful way.

Girls Will Earn:

  • Daisy: Respect Myself and Others Petal and the Resilient. Ready. Strong. Patch
  • Brownie: My Best Self Badge and the Resilient. Ready. Strong. Patch
  • Junior: Knowing My Emotions and Mental Wellness Patch and the Resilient. Ready. Strong. Patch
  • Cadette: Science of Happiness Badge, Finding My Voice Mental Wellness Patch, and the Resilient. Ready. Strong. Patch
  • Senior: Women’s Health Badge, Showing Up for Me and You Mental Wellness Patch, and the Resilient. Ready. Strong. Patch
  • Ambassador: Showing Up for Me and You Mental Wellness Patch and the Resilient. Ready. Strong. Patch

How it Works:

  • Registration Opens: December 16, 2024
  • Pick-up/Shipping Launch Date: January 7, 2025
  • Subsequent Pick-up/Shipping Dates: Every two weeks from January 7, 2025

Kit Options:

  • Metro Troops (within 25 miles of Council at 6100 N Robinson Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73118) are highly encouraged, but not required, to opt to pick up their kits at the Council office. Each girl’s kit will be organized into a larger troop box and ready for pick-up at the 2nd-floor pick-up area.
  • Non-Metro Troops will receive individual mailers for each girl delivered to the address provided at registration.

Important Shipping Details:

If you select the shipping option, be sure your address is current in our system when registering. Double-check your address with Customer Care at GSWESTOK to confirm accuracy. You will also receive an email from stamakuwala@gswestok.com to verify the shipping address. Accurate address information is crucial for delivery, and we’ll work to ensure everything is correct.

Cost:

  • $10 per kit (No additional shipping fees)

Registration Details:

Registration is open for an entire year, from December 16, 2024 to December 16, 2025!
The first kits will be ready for pick-up or shipping on January 7, 2025, and will continue every two weeks from that point forward.
If you register less than three days before a pick-up/ship date, your kit will be available for the following pick-up/ship date, not the one three days away.

Cancellation Policy
GSWEST EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY: (Includes HAT, Outdoor Committee, and Alumni Events)

Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSWESTOK cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund.

Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. A Doctors note will be required for any refunds after the cancellation deadline. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.

GSWEST EVENT REFUND POLICY: (Includes HAT, Outdoor Committee, and Alumni Events)

Should circumstances arise that result in the cancellation or postponement of an event, GSWESTOK has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 2 weeks before the event. Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. A Doctors note will be required for any refunds after the cancellation deadline.

Camp deposits are non-refundable. All camp refunds must be approved by the Camp Director.

Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.

All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder. All refunds will be made by the same method of payment (rewards card, credit card, check, gift card). Cash will be refunded via check. Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or receipt.

These above policies apply to all GSWESTOK Events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.
